What is Jowl Laser Lipolysis?

The skin, which covers the human body, tends to be constantly dry and thin. Especially with aging, it becomes difficult to keep the skin in the form it should be due to the disappearance of fat and connective tissue proteins such as elastin and collagen that protect the skin structure, the effect of sunlight, cell death, fat accumulation under the skin due to excess weight and similar reasons. With these effects, the skin becomes plump and loses its elasticity.

As in other parts of the body, the skin around the cheeks and mouth becomes vulnerable to gravity and slowly falls into the area under the chin, called the chin and double chin, creating a bulging and unsightly structure (submental fullness / double chin), causing the jaw lines to become indistinct.

Another reason for abnormal jowl formation is that the chin tip is smaller than normal. This problem can be solved with chin tip filling and chin tip prostheses. Today, the vast majority of people have problems with regional slimming. People who apply methods such as sports, exercise and diet that do not require any medical intervention but do not get results often prefer aesthetic applications.

Aesthetic interventions performed to remove sagging and fat accumulation in the chin and under the chin area are called Jowl Aesthetics. Jowl aesthetics; It can be applied in a wide range from surgical intervention to non-surgical interventions.

What is Jowl Aesthetics with Laser Lipolysis, How is it done?

The most common method preferred to get rid of subcutaneous fat is to burn / melt the fat with laser beams and remove it from the body. Liposuction or Lipolysis techniques are used to remove the melted fat from the body.

In the liposuction technique; with the surgical intervention performed under general anesthesia, the fat melts under the skin are aspirated / sucked out of the body with the help of a thin artificial tube (cannula). After the operation, the patient has a recovery period of 3-4 days and the bruises last for about two weeks. A corset should be worn for about a month. This intervention is expensive because it is a surgical procedure and theoretically more risky than lipolysis because anesthesia is applied. In addition, if it is applied again, a more painful period is experienced.

In the lipolysis technique; the melted fat is absorbed by the body without any surgical intervention and excreted through urine. The effect on daily life is limited, you can return to work after the intervention. Although the application varies according to the amount of fatty tissue and the condition of the skin, it is usually a single session. There is no bleeding during and after the application and there is no surgical scar. There is no undesirable condition other than mild redness, bruising and swelling. It makes the skin look firmer and younger. It can be repeated every 3 months. In repeat applications, side effects and pain seen in liposuction are not experienced, only some edema may occur. It is sufficient to wear a corset for 4-5 days afterwards.

The process of melting the subcutaneous fat in the jowl area with the help of laser to eliminate sagging and fat accumulation in the chin and under chin area is called Jowl Aesthetics with Laser Lipolysis.

How to Remove a Double Chin?

Double Chin Lift Surgery (Necklift): It is a surgical intervention procedure performed by surgically removing excess fat in the jowl area under general anesthesia and stretching the skin. Excess fat is removed through a 2-3 cm incision under the chin and the muscles are repaired. In cases where the excess skin needs to be stretched, the incision is enlarged, the excess skin is removed and the skin is stretched towards the ear edge. In cases where the chin tip is small, chin prosthesis is also performed.

Neck – Jowl Filling: It is an application that takes about 30 minutes under local anesthesia to correct wrinkles and gaps in the jowl area. By applying filler under the skin, a bulging structure is obtained in the hollow areas.

Vaser – Laser Liposuction: It is the melting of excess fat in the jowl area under local anesthesia with ultrasonic sound waves (Vaser) or laser (Laser) under local anesthesia and removing it by intervention (aspiration – suction).

It can be removed by many methods such as.
